About us

This is my first blog post, so let me tell you about us. I am a 32yo mother of 4 boys. I have been married for 12 years. I am a nurse and my husband works in law enforcement. My kids have always been busy. They love playing outside and getting dirty. Typical boy stuff.

My oldest is a typical oldest child. He is a good student and wants to be perfect at everything. He accels at all things school related. Unfortunately, the perfectionism has a downside and he can be really hard on himself. He also has a short temper at home.

My second son has always been challenging. He is super active and inquisitive. He is full of life and has a sparkle in his eye. When he is happy, he shines. He has some self control issues, though, and can be very impulsive. This year, he started struggling in school. He is in 3rd grade. He was diagnosed with ADHD and started on medication. I hate that he is on meds and we are working to get him off them. This blog will be mostly about him.

My third son is the one who usually gets lost in the shuffle. He is the easiest going of all my kids. He is almost always happy and gets along with everybody. Unfortunately, he usually takes the brunt of his brothers bad attitudes.

My youngest son will start kindergarten next year. He shares many of the same personality attributes as my second son, but we have yet to see if these will be issues in school. For now, he is funny and witty and a joy to be around. He knows how to hold his own among his brothers and doesn't let anybody push him around.
